Why citizens should afraid from their government? The answer is that citizens do not need to afraid from their government. The power of citizens described in the constitution of democratic country is only to empower the citizens to rule over country whether it is indirect rule or direct rule.
The need to bring the system of democratic set up is only for to make participate the citizens in political rule. The system has been produced by the political leaders in such a way that citizens are afraid from their government but the real thing hides behind the illusion is that citizens have to rule over country and citizens do not need afraid from their government.
